LEGACY OFFERING

Once a year, we bring a special offering—one that requires sacrifice and one that builds a legacy for future generations. This offering enables us to take a giant leap forward in fulfilling the big opportunities God has placed before us. Our two-part goal is receiving a year-end offering and setting up more recurring givers.

In SIX years, we’ve accomplished a lot together:

850+ Salvations

400+ Small Groups Launched

2000+ people attended our largest Prayer Gathering

2000+ people attended our largest Outreach

775+ Attended Easter 2023

350 + serving on the Dream Team

1000+ Churches planted with ARC

150+ volunteers serving around the city of Bellevue in various organizations

6 Paid Staff Hired

3 Sunday morning Services

`1 New building

Not bad for six years as a Church!

Even though we’ve accomplished so much these 5 years, God has stirred us with vision for the days to come.  It is with a spirit of faith and anticipation that we invite you to pray about how you can be involved in our Legacy offering.

THIS OFFERING WILL ALLOW US TO MAKE A HUGE IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING STRATEGIC OPPORTUNITIES:

INTERNALLY

  • In the last year, Kalos Church moved in our own building (after 5 years of being a portable church). Since then, our attendance has doubled and we’re praying for the resources to help our internal systems and structures strengthen enough to carry more than twice the load, so we can make known the beauty of Jesus to as many people as possible in a sustainable way. To do that, here are our areas of focus:

    • Hire Linda Von Schell as a Full time Next Steps Director

We quickly grew too large for two services in our current building, so we added a third Sunday morning service this past September. In order to do this, we needed more people to volunteer on our serve team. Thankfully, we added 100 new people, but this put an urgency in us to create new structures to sustain the health of all these volunteers. While Linda is already our Small Groups director, we want to hire her to be our next steps director to help us place people in the right place with care and precision. The Next Steps director will help people take their next best step in receiving care, direction and empowerment from Kalos in terms of getting involved, plugged in and serving. This will help us not just grow as a crowd, but an empowered and equipped Church to do the work of ministry as the body of Christ.

  •

    • Hire Zach Westerman as a Full Time Media Director

Social media is still the number 1 way people find out about Kalos and end up attending. For many, it’s their first time visiting any church or religious institution. Our Church isn’t just entertaining Christians, but we are going after those who feel far from God and bringing them into a place of encounter, belonging, grace and transformation. Zach has been instrumental in setting up our livestream on youtube, social media, and our in person experience regarding our screens, lighting and overall environment to bring the Gospel to people where they are. For the last year, he’s done a great job as a part-time staff member, but we want him to focus full time on reaching more people with the Gospel. By working full time, we will be able to make more content in person and online to add Kingdom value to people’s lives.

    • Lease more building space

The adjacent space to our building has recently been available to us. This will provide is with 1600 square feet of additional and very needed space.

LOCALLY

There are ministry partners that need support as they meet the needs of the community here in Bellevue and Kalos Church. Specifically, we’ve decided to focus on our ministry partners who serve homeless women, hungry and at-risk children. This is an area that we believe rests close to the heart of God and we’re excited about the doors that are opening for greater influence.

  • Jubilee Reach

  • Renewal Food Bank

  • Sophia Way/Helen’s Place

  • Special Kalos Church Outreach Events

NATIONALLY

Together, we have planted over 1000 churches and will continue to invest in planting more churches through ARC and strengthening existing Seattle Churches through the Seattle Area Pastors Network . From the first day we existed, Kalos Church has given towards church planting. In total we have been able to give more than $30,000 towards planting new churches and we believe that God has called us to continue investing in this ministry.  We are convinced that there is no greater investment than planting a life-giving local church that has a heart to give to missions and will in turn invest in planting other churches.

INTERNATIONALLY

  • PAZ Missionaries to Japan—Ben and Debbie Block

  • Landmine Design—providing jobs for women vulnerable to sex-trafficking in Cambodia

We are not asking you to invest in what we are already doing, but in what we could do.

Rather than several small asks throughout the year, every December we will dedicate one offering in order to meet these strategic needs. As always, all we ask you to do is pray, and as God provides, do what’s in your heart.

Paul said, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,

for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
